Stock Productivity Section
Productivity of fishery resources is affected by many factors such as marine physical conditions, feeding environment and interactions with other species. In order to understand the mechanism of production of important fishery resources in the Mixed Water Region such as saury and Pacific cod, we analyze and assess these factors. In particular, we study the processes of micronectons which have not been utilized by fisheries so that ecological information is scarce and macrozooplankton such as the euphausiids which have a large amount of stock in the Mixed Water Region and affect the resource production through competition for food and predator/prey relationships.
