Dr. Chiyuki Sassa (Fisheries Research Agency) received the Best Presentation Award for the CCCC (Climate Change and Carrying Capacity Programme) Committee in the PICES XIV Annual Meeting (Vladivostok, Russia) by his presentation ”Recruitment processes of Jack mackerel (Trachurus japonicus) in the East China Sea (ECS) in relation to environmental condition”

2006 Ocean Sciences Meeting in Honolulu, HI |
"DEEP" programme related topic session "OS049: Sinking Particle Fluxes in the Twilight Zone" will be held during the 13th Oceans Sciences Meeting (Feb 20-24, Honolulu, HI). Several talks/posters from DEEP will be presented on the biogeochemical cycles between the epipelagic and mesopelagic ecosystems.
